Mcfarlane Military Figures

investigation of the truss

is the assumption the timber-frame on this facade and the ground floor still "in building" connected. is the basis of old photographs and architectural history, studies show that over the period of the outside wall in some cases several dishes were added. So we want (with the Heritage Office) to see whether it is at that.

And Bingo - after a few minutes to a few bricks away we see this suspicion confirmed. Almost classical for a half-timbered house is cantilevered from the top lap of the ground floor. For structural reasons, we leave it at the moment at this selected location. Planned the facade on the ground floor to expose further. Only once ran to the structural engineer, then again a scaffold made.
The original facade was even painted. This is unusual, the original building when it was a very simple business building (storage building).

And here again the eaves from the outside. The bottom of the image-to-read bar is not original, but one of the conversions of the 17th Century (new north gable).
