Muruga Festival

was celebrated yesterday in southern India, Singapore, Malaysia and Mauritius, a festival in honor of Lord Muruga's.

has received on this day the youngest son of Shiva and Parvati, Muruga by his mother, a lance (Vel) hands to defeat the demons.
