How To Change Jacket In Jibbin

Christmas in Terra Mirim

The first Christmas outside of the usual familial atmosphere, it should run for us two German volunteers of course somewhat different than usual Who can claim that as a German in a celebrated Brazilian shamanic community to Christmas? That's a special privilege, we also referred to the Blogglesern would like to open!

As would be naturally once the season. On the southern half of the world just round one of the summer, 35 degrees during the day and night and rarely exceeded one could confidently with only a fig leaf to remain covered, without freezing. Of course but not at Christmas. But it is strange when one reads of Schneeeinbruechen and ice in faraway Germany and Christmas but even in the midst of hungry, sweaty, mosquito-celebrating. Also with the Christmas tree is a funny story. In Bahia, unfortunately, do not grow coniferous. Since we had the glorious idea of developing a plastic-iron structure which is capable of companies had at least by far the untrained eye Christmas. In Casa the Arts has now been at this a little different atmosphere, the Terra Mirim - celebrated Christmas.

Shamanic mantra should satisfy the first two hours with their recurring sounds. Chants to the air, the mistress of the forest or the "great mother" earth could bring the Christmas spirit going. Then was allowed to divide the community into three groups to a Christmas scavenger hunt to do with Terra Mirim. The winning group received a Zauberwurfel. Interactive we went through the program. An episode from a Japanese cartoon series was thrown to the wall via projector, the content is obviously profound, what we Germans - the Portuguese language skills are not yet definitively determined mature - but not so much made sense. Does not matter though, because after that it should go on fun: a round candles dance in the dark, the passionate, involved individuals and groups and carried out with the utmost choreographic sensibility. Joseh was particularly emphasized here, stormed into the manner of the Tasmanian devil (from the "Looney Tunes"), the Packett. And to a large degree of the party were of course not without a small theater addition of each participant. For in the run-up to Christmas Day each was an "amigo Segredo" (= friend secret) assigned, which should get a gift from his desires. This amigo Segredo was then followed by those theatrical performance Gift bestowed the award, which was not infrequently about his character traits or funny incidents in the past funny. A warehouse fire, wonderful food and juices bestowed all a beautiful, happy after-show party.

Although the usual Christmas slush in front of the door, and a Christmas tree with needles and the family ties, something for us volunteers was missing, so it was a Christmas of a different variety, which has given us all the fun!
